Not in all cases. Some people tend to feel worse because these people have succeeded so well despite their setbacks, whereas the depressed person feels worse because they feel inadequate and weaker.

This is so accurate. I am so sick of people who can't understand that clinical depression is a serious problem not just a case of the blues. I know so many people who have tried telling me that I have nothing to be depressed about and to just get over it and all that does is make me feel worse than ever. There are plenty of studies out there that have proven that depression is a serious medical conditionand even without suicide lasting depression can still lead to death if untreated

Video is wonderful, funny and informative!
As a person who struggles with depression, (there are a lot of us out there), it's important to help others understand that clinical depression is not "a choice," nor some kind of character flaw ("get over it already!")
Depression is a result of a neurochemical "imbalence" in the brain, often genetic, + individual neuro-chemical wiring + predisposed vulnerability + current environmental circumstances.
Compassion. Please!

Lifting weights ups your testo, which makes you less depressed for a while.
When the chemicals come down, your mood comes down again.
