To say Girsha should go back to basics is crazy dude. He's one of the best Flamenco guitarist in existence. His feel and attack are amazing. I can only wish to play like Girsha. You must be jealous to say something like that.

Sabicas the great said" A Guitarist must accompany Dancers {for steady Rhythm} for 20 years and then Singers for 20 years and omly then is ready to play solo flamenco guitar" .There are no short cuts.That is why it is such a deceptively difficult art.Grisha should go back to basics.

Why not enjoy and reach your highest level. Most protegies go through great suffering as a result of all focusing on their talent- Paco cried on live TV, Parkening retired young and detested playing concerts- the list goes on and on- if you love playing more than just impressing others you can enjoy your whole life possible more fully than those who pay such a great price to focus on one thing. Don't be afraid to learn from the best. Go to master classes and find your voice.

Grisha once put his metronome (it only went to 220 beats a minute) on the highest setting and proceeded to play 16th notes up and down the fingerboard. He had to set the metronome on a lower setting to play 6 notes to a beat to simulate 16th notes at over 240 beats a minute. He did this with fingers, not a pick, and did this to my question, "How is it that you play so fast?"
