Maybe not. The Earth, deep inside is a huge dynamo, creating magnetic field, that projects far into space and deflecting solar radiation. The current under our continents must be awesome. Nikola Tesla was working on that, but his funds were withdrawn and his friends left him. They knew then, that free energy is not to be given to the people. In fact most electric trains were dismantled, so we have to depend on cars and pay for oil.

The solar silicon is produced in the State of Washington by REC, shipped to Norway for processing and sold in Europe. REC is in a huge expansion of their facilities in Moses Lake, WA to try and keep up with demand. They bought into one of the major players in the US so they could have distribution rights in the US.
