We've been testing various styles in our martial Arts group here for over a decade now. The only two that have never failed are Wing Chun. MMA has been tested here a lot, since it's popular, and it always fails against Wing Chun. When it was tested against Boxing, it was no contest. The boxer couldn't land anything.

Not all Chinese martial arts are spiritual in nature. Your view of Wing Chun is romanticized and is akin to racism.

only unknowledgeable people think that. Just train mma for half hour with a team. After 3-4 mins of takedowns, you'll want to stop.
I'm just going to have to agree with alcariot

I study Wing Chun, this video is not traditional however is superb, well done, however the sage needs to ground himself and find oout what other secrets wing chun holds that his ego is overlooking...perhaps a new and wiser instructor can show him the way...aka jim fungs wing chun academy..

wing chun is great so is mma, mma is the best sport in the word so is wing chun.

yeah fly85, wingchun was design to defence & to counter or hit back opponent without any rules, it's not sport.

MMA is just retard pretentious stage performance. Even boxing is better than MMA.

martial arts is not about fighting in a ring with rules. its about real life scenarios. a wing chun practitioner may lose to a pro boxer in a boxing match. but he might just take him down outside of the match. boxing is a sport! so is mma. |
