Was the fact that human beings are part of a collective entity, call it society or whatever you wish, even an issue? The idea was that the soul has individual needs that do or do not correspond to the needs of the collective. You cannot reduce the needs of one to the needs of the other.Society mustn't destroy the individual, just as the individual mustn't destroy society. If he chooses not to work for it's well being that might be the sanest choice for his soul.

You have mentioned "great eastern thinkers". Where can I find some kind of "list" of them? I study philosophy and don't like this cultural and geographical divison.

Base científica... É perigoso isso de tentar enquadrar fenômenos dentro dos "dogmas" científicos. Às vezes algumas partes do fenômeno não podem ser enquadradas, mas isso acaba sendo esquecido pq a maior parte foi.

What about the meaning of the collective mind?

Well, now what about this: We are practical just now, in this narrowly moment. What we will do the next minute is not practice yet. So we must be prepared the best we can for it. And how we get prepared? Through theory.

"Philosopher", "psicologists", etc. Names we give in our culture to differentes ways of Knowledge. But parts of knowledge is not knowledge... are only parts. Knowledge is a practical whole, and to get practical we need a theory that can be apply. All of this is only elucidations, good elucidations, onteresting elucidations. The seek of knowledge is an individual task, and individuals are part of a collective.
