I think this is not her best singing, and as Eileen Farrell has said she worried about her. I do to I think the Met is pushing her out of her lyrical singing and into too heavy of singing.
When she sang for the Rossinin gala it was Wonderful, lots of ping to the voice!

the voice isn't as good as the acting.

Nothing special. I prefer Dimitrova.

This is a horrible performance: under pitch, wobbly, no evenness of scale or timbre, forced but also timid. I saw her live at the Met in Tannhauser a few years ago and she was very fine. For this aria was she tired, ill, or in vocal decline?

I prefer callas

Wotan-I totally agree, and Farrell had a light quality despite the size of her voice.
It's called good technique, people, and intelligent singing. That's why their voices stay in good shape, despite the musical demands with which they're faced.
